Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SheetCents handles information in the SheetCents mobile app and on sheetcents.com. SheetCents is designed to store your budget information on your device by default. Google Sheets sync is optional and only runs when you choose to connect your Google account.
Information Stored On Your Device
SheetCents may store the following information locally on your device so the app can function:
- Budget amount, budget period, schedule settings, and category preferences.
- Expense entries, income entries, recurring income entries, dates, amounts, descriptions, and categories.
- Google Sheets connection settings, including the selected spreadsheet ID, selected spreadsheet name, sync status, and the Google account email shown in the app after you sign in.
SheetCents does not operate a developer-run server for this budget data and does not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites.
Optional Google Sheets Sync
If you choose to connect Google, SheetCents uses Google Sign-In and requests access to Google Drive metadata and Google Sheets so the app can show your spreadsheets, create a new spreadsheet if requested, read rows from the selected spreadsheet, and write your expense or income entries to that spreadsheet.
When sync is enabled, the budget information you enter in SheetCents may be sent to Google and stored in the Google Sheet you select or create. Google may process that information according to your Google account settings and Google's policies.
SheetCents' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google Sign-In And Technical Data
If you choose to connect Google, the Google Sign-In software included in SheetCents may process Google account profile information and technical data, such as identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, and usage data, for app functionality, security, and analytics. Google processes this information according to its policies. SheetCents does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
Information We Do Not Collect
SheetCents does not request access to your precise location, contacts, photos, health data, or payment card information. SheetCents does not use data for third-party advertising and does not track you across third-party apps or websites.
Website Data
The SheetCents website is a static website. It does not intentionally set tracking cookies or collect information through contact forms. Depending on the hosting provider used for sheetcents.com, standard server logs may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and request time for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
How Information Is Used
SheetCents uses information in the app to provide budgeting features, display totals and progress, save your settings, restore your entries, and sync to Google Sheets when you enable that feature.
Sharing
SheetCents does not sell your personal information or share your budget data with advertisers. If you connect Google, the app shares the information needed to complete Google Sign-In and your requested Google Sheets actions with Google. Google's sign-in software may process technical usage data for analytics as described above. Any third-party service used by SheetCents must provide privacy protections consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable requirements.
Your Choices, Retention, And Deletion
You can use SheetCents without connecting Google. You can revoke SheetCents' Google access from the app, turn off new-entry sync, delete entries in the app, delete synced rows or spreadsheets in Google Sheets, or manage SheetCents' access from your Google account permissions.
Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it in the app, remove the app, or erase the device. Information synced to Google Sheets remains in your Google account until you delete the rows, sheet, spreadsheet, or revoke access according to Google's controls.

Security
SheetCents uses platform storage and Google Sign-In mechanisms available on your device. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so you should protect your device passcode, Google account, and any spreadsheets that contain sensitive budget information.
Children's Privacy
SheetCents is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated as SheetCents changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
